Support Panochron

New to Panochron? Start with the Artist Statement.

Panochron is a project measured not in weeks or months, but in decades.

That is its greatest strength — and its greatest challenge. Building a living archive of human faces across time takes sustained commitment: studio sessions, travel, equipment, and eventually an exhibition worthy of the work. None of that happens without support.

If Panochron moves you, here is how you can help it keep going.

Become a Patron

The most direct way to support Panochron is through Patreon. A monthly contribution — no matter how small — helps fund studio sessions, equipment, and the continued growth of the archive.

In return, patrons get an inside view of the project as it unfolds: behind-the-scenes updates, early access to new portraits, and the knowledge that they are part of something being built for the long term.

This is not a project with a finish line. It will still be running in ten years, twenty years, longer. Every patron is essentially investing in time itself — which feels fitting.

Help Fund the Mobile Studio

One of Panochron's most important next steps is a mobile portrait studio — a dedicated space that can travel, reaching people who would never walk through a gallery door, and capturing a wider, richer cross-section of faces and lives.

If you are an individual, business, or organisation interested in sponsoring this goal, or in exploring a partnership, please get in touch.

Spread the Word

If contributing financially isn't possible right now, sharing the project costs nothing and means everything. Tell someone about Panochron. Share it on social media. Point a gallery, a journalist, or a funder in this direction.

The archive grows one face at a time. The audience can grow the same way.

Panochron is an independent, artist-led project based in Christchurch, New Zealand. All support goes directly toward the creation and exhibition of the work.
